Day 1: Lima
Arrive Lima and transfer to hotel. In the afternoonguided tour around Lima’s superb colonial churches, such as the Cathedral and San Francisco Church, the Main Square with the Government Palace and City Hall, then the visit to the modern residential areas and return to hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 Lima - Arequipa
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Arequipa. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, tour to see the city’s most interesting sights, in particular the famous 16th century convent of Santa Catalina, with its typical Spanish-style streets and courtyards. Accommodation.
Day 3 Arequipa - Colca
Breakfast.Departure to the Colca Valley along the Village of Yura, the Salinas Aguada Blanca National Reserve and Pampa Cañahuas. After, a stop is done in Patapampa to refresh itself and take a coca tea and continuing towards the town of Chivay where we will have lunch at a typical restaurant. Accommodation.
Day 4 Colca - Arequipa
Breakfast. Early morning departure to La Cruz del Condor, to see the impressive depth of the canyon and the majestic flight of the condor. On the way back to Chivay, you will visit the villages of Pinchollo and Maca, where you will see thepiedra maqueta(scale model stone, almost a meter in length, which has been sculpted to depict the hills and terraces you see before you) and hanging tombs.Lunch at Chivay. Return to Arequipa.Accommodation.
Day 5 Arequipa - Cusco
Breakfast.Transfer to the airport for your departing flight to Cusco. Upon your arrival at the airport, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon visit the city of Cusco, with its colonial buildings constructed over Inca palaces. We will visit the Korikancha or the Temple of the Sun, which was the principal Inca religious building, the Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, built in 1560 and finished in 1654, with fine carved woodwork and 300 paintings from the Cusco School. We will then continue the tour by visiting the four important archaeological sites in the outskirts of the city: Qenqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay and Sacsayhuaman, the colossal fortress was conceived in a zigzag design and it is certainly one of the engineering marvels of the ancient world. Day 6 Cusco - Machu - Picchu
Breakfast. Excursion to the artisanal Pisac market, a great opportunity to purchase the most attractive and colorful handicrafts in the Cusco area. Lunch at a restaurant in the Urubamba Valley. Proceed to visit the famous fortress of Ollantaytambo, which was a gigantic agricultural, administrative, religious and military centre. Transfer to the station to take the train to Aguas Calientes.Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7 Machu Picchu - Cusco
Breakfast. Proceed by minibus to the ruins of the “Lost City of the Incas” Machu Picchu.This is one of the most important archaeological sites on the planet, and it was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007. Very few works of man demonstrate such harmony with nature as that seen at Machu Picchu. Lunch at a local restaurant in Aguas Calientes. Return to Cusco.Accommodation.
Day 8 Cusco- Puno
Breakfast. Transfer to the bus or train station. Leave Cusco by regular bus or train to Puno. Lunch included. Arrive Puno and transfer to hotel. Accommodation.
Day 9 Puno
Breakfast.A full-day excursion to visit the Uros indians, a native community noted for its fine weaving. The Uros inhabit the Floating Islands, and from the Isle of Taquile you will have a spectacular view of Lake Titicaca after having ascended 600 steps. Lunch included. Return to Puno. Overnight.
Day 10 Puno - Juliaca - Lima
Breakfast.Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Arrive and assist to connect with your international departure flight.
